Epilogue Suspending Operations

Update: November 15, 2020

It is with deep regret that we announce the suspension of all productions at Epilogue Players until further notice. The most recent state and local guidelines effective November 15, 2020, would not allow us to rehearse and perform in our intimate space and maintain the social distancing and safety protocols required by the guidelines for live performances within Marion County.

We must ultimately consider the safety and health of our volunteers and patrons, as we have throughout  this pandemic. We will reevaluate our status constantly and will reopen only when it is reasonable to assume that we can safely carry out the production process to its end.

To the cast and crew of “The Christmas Express” who have been in rehearsal for several weeks, we thank you for your hard work and commitment and hope to see you back on our stage in the near future.

To the patrons who made reservations for “The Christmas Express,” we will be contacting you soon regarding refunds.

The auditions for “Calendar Girls” scheduled for December 6 & 7 have been canceled.

To our loyal Season Ticket Holders, please accept our sincere apologies. We will be contacting you near the end of our scheduled season to offer options for the use or refund of your unused tickets.

We will continue to accept submissions from directors for our 2021-22 season, which are due November 25. (See our notice on the website. www.epilogueplayers.com.)

CALLING ALL DIRECTORS!

Epilogue Players is accepting proposals for the 2021-22 season until November 25, 2020. Directors may submit up to 2 plays for consideration by the Season Selection Committee. Epilogue’s mission is to provide a quality theatre experience for people of all ages, with a special regard to the inclusion of the senior members of our community. Submissions should reflect the mission and include 1 copy of the script(s), Director’s contact information, a summary of the Director’s directing and other relevant experience, and notation of the season slots requested in order of preference (September, December, February, April, and June).  In making your submission choices, please bear in mind the following:

  • Holiday/seasonal submissions are encouraged for the December slot.
  • Successful submissions will require minimal set changes, as there is minimal backstage space.
  • We seek material that would be appropriate for a family audience.  Profane language and explicit sexual content are contrary to that objective.  Think G, PG, PG-13.

Electronic submissions are welcome, .PDF or common document format please.  If you submit a paper script, it will be unbound so it can be shared by committee members electronically.  It can be returned to you unbound or spiral bound.
